Final Round Championship 2021 World Amateur Muay Thai Classic – Event Results

The Final Round Championship 2021 World Amateur Muay Thai Classic took place April 9th – April 11th 2021. John’s Gym Austin & AhLittle Muay Thai took our largest competition team yet to Ardmore, OK to show them what we’re made of. And we did just that. We had 8 fighters (6 of them first time competitors with less than a year of training), 11 fights over 2 days, 6 wins total

(over 50% win rate!), and brought back 3 championship belts.

These wins did not come from a lack of effort. All of our fighters put in the work during a 8-week fight camp that involved extra sparring days, additional competitor training sessions, and intense strength and conditioning training. All of this was strengthened by the presence of our amazing teammates who showed up to give us that extra push even if they were not competing themselves.

Our Champions

Women’s Novice Bantamweight Champion – Olivia “The Body Taker”

With less than 2 years of training, Olivia rounded off her time in the Novice division by increasing her record to 2-1 and taking home the Women’s Novice Bantamweight belt, just 4 months after her amateur debut with a TKO in November.

Junior Girls’ Novice Featherweight Champion – “Killer Kate”

Kate made her amateur debut fighting on both Saturday and Sunday to walk through the Junior Girl’s Novice division, leaving with a 2-0 record and the Junior Girls’ Novice Featherweight belt after training for less than a year.

Men’s Novice Middleweight Champion – Jordan

Jordan made his amateur debut also fighting both Saturday and Sunday. Also debuting less than a year after starting to train at John’s gym, Jordan left Oklahoma with a 2-0 record and the Men’s Novice Middleweight belt.

Up Next…

Our Class B ladies, Megan and Olivia, are heading to Arkansas with just an 8-week turnaround! They will be competing on June 12th at MMAX Fighting Championship’s MFC 16 fight night in their first kickboxing fight, looking to bring home 2 more wins for the John’s Gym and AhLittle Muay Thai fam.

And in November, we’ll head back to Ardmore, OK with an even bigger competition team for the 2021 USMTA International Muay Thai Championships.
